Vietnam Whitewash
This is a little dated, but David Horowitz's most recent piece is something worth reading. A preview:
Four months after the Democrats cut off aid to Cambodia and Vietnam in January 1975, both regimes fell to the Communist armies. Within three years the Communist victors had slaughtered two-and-a-half million peasants in the Indochinese peninsula, paving the way for their socialist paradise.I'm a fairly well-educated guy, but this little tidbit of knowledge was withheld from my high school and college history classes. I wonder why?

Good old Pol Pot. Did you know both he and Ho Chi Minh were educated in France?
I thought the disaster in 1975 was pretty well-known. Of course, it was Nixon and Kissinger who began the withdrawal and Ford who completed it (hardly Democrats). And we had to stop the bleeding at some point; it's just a shame we didn't in 1966.

I knew about the disaster. I didn't know that we cut foreign aid to South Vietnam and Camobodia. I thought it just happened because of the Nixon pullout.
Now obviously it was easier to invade the South without hundreds of thousands of US troops there, but we had decimated North Vietnam. Maybe a little foreign aid to the South would have been enough to hold off the North.
It would be like cutting foreign aid to Afghanastan or Iraq right now. Can you imagine the audacity?

I did not know the "aid" in question was financial aid. I thought the blockquote there was referring to military aid. Some money probably would have helped.
